Magazine Advert Mock up

Here below is a simple mock up i created in order to get some basis to my ancillary texts.I planned a simple but effective layout,that worked within the existing products i looks at within my research.When it comes to creating the ancillary texts I'm going to sue this mock up as reference form composition and layout as it works really well.Although, it may look simple its rally good way to keep the artist the main focal point,giving the relevant information without over crowding and making the magazine advert look like a mess.

Update 26/02/15

After creating another draft of my music video its highlighted a few issues that i need to change.As were running out of time im getting quite stressed about it all however ive booked a camera and some studio lighting out today in order to re film the main parts of Arianas (Jess) parts in a nw location as i feel thats what is letting it down the most.Im going to film in an ouotside olocation at the night time,as i feel it will create a real dusky atmosphere,in case of rain which alothough isnt forcasted may happen.I may film a few shots witin a bedroom,using differnt lcoations to still get some better footage than i already have.By next week im hoping to have lots of my video re filmed in much more appropraite locations,fit for purpose.

Second Music video Draft

This is my second music video draft.This time I've completely changed and added new stuff.I managed to include some location shots for Will and am hoping to re film a lot more locations soon.I focused of effects ans special effects this time also.I added coloured background transitions and text to see how it all worked together.I really like the outcome and i feel it creates a whole different atmosphere to my video.

To build on this im going to add more locations in the future weeks and focusing on editing more closely to work on getting it look as professional as possible.Overall im happy with the on going progress

Colour Schemes

For my ancillary texts i decided to look at colour schemes for my final product.When researching i found the colour schemes differed depending on what genre the artist was from.As I'm doing the Pop genre i decided to look at colour scheme appropriate to this.I went on a website called Colour scheme generator as it allowed me to gather lots of colours together on a palette to start gathering some ideas together.Here below are some of the ones I've just created...

1)

The main focus colour for this colour palette is light pink.As i've got 2 main female artists i felt with pink as the main colour it may work quite well.As you can see overall,this colour scheme is light in colours,they are all really light pastel colours which i think would look really nice juxtaposed with eachother.Also they're very conventional of pop.In this colour scheme the 3 main colours id got for would be the pinks,purples and either oranges or blues.

2)

This focus on the green side of the colours.This si still a light colour scheme however has a different focus.I feel greens quite a unisex colour so will work well with all my artists.The main colours i like form this colour scheme would be the green,peachs and purples.I think they'd look really nice together.I feel these colours are really fun,i think they'd create a really cute looking color scheme which is bright and eye grabbing,exactly what i want for mt advert and digipak.

3)   

This is a slightly darker version of the above.I like these colours because i feel they're more conventional to the pop genre.They're bright,bold and vibrant.

Update 12/2/15

I've recently been looking into my ancillary tasks and finding some relevant research on them to get a ahead start so i wont be leaving everything untill last minute.That went really well,i found some interesting features and some ideas,and it inspired me to create my magazine advert in a certain way in order for it look successful. Ive also been taking some more behind the scenes shots and worked a little more of names/logos for my artists as i feel this is really important for the full package.Ive made vast changes to my music video,ive added some locations and used lots of effects and put more and updated footage in it,ive been working on it hard,but sometimes been struggling to gather all my models together as there is 3 of them.However in this holiday off im going to film some more locations so i can add them to my video when i get back.Other than that i feel everythings going really well as of yet.

BTS Film Day 3

Here are a few behind the scene shots of my film day 3.I filmed in the green room with my other model who will be playing Iggy. At.At the same i enrolled my Ariana to film also so I could capture some 2 shots of them dancing together also.I had quite a lot of fun doing this and like the footage that came out of it.

Getting ready to film in the green room,i was setting up the camera and the lighting to ensure the quality was as good as possible.I moved the wires before i hit record but at this point i was working out what frame type was working the best. Heres my model for Iggy taking place and getting ready to be recorded in the green room.

Here's another close up of a behind the scenes shot.I used all available lighting and centred around my model to the background was showing up at white as possible and in essence illuminating my model.I got her to practice and pose into the camera various times also to ensure the camera was angled correctly so i had no mishaps when the filming was actually talking place.

As you can see in this BTS shot,both my female models are present i enlisted them both although i was mainly filming Iggy for this part towards the end of the shoot i got Ariana involved and filmed some two shots of them dancing  together which worked really well.My model for Ariana also helped me out alot when filming Iggy she was playing and stopping the music when needed so i could focusly soley on getting the camera in the right place and making sure she was in frame at all times.This worked really well.
